Just about anyone who is healthy enough to receive dental treatment is a candidate for sedation.

Any dentist in the state of Florida is allowed to give oral sedation, but only a handful have undergone the advanced training, state inspection, and state certification required to administer IV medications. Even if you have tried oral sedation in the past and where unsatisfied with the result, please come see us.

Who is a candidate for IV sedation?

Will I be asleep?
Yes but you will still be able to respond if need be.

Will I remember anything?
You may remember hearing a sentence or two, but not more than that.

Will I still need shots?
Yes but they will be given after you are sedated so that you don't remember.

I'm not really afraid of the dentist, but I just don't have the time for all those visits. Can we do something about that?
Yes. Sedation eliminates the stress and fatigue associated with long visits. In most cases we can complete all of your treatment in just one visit.
